The exhibition consists mainly of close-up photographs that depict him in the garments of the many characters he has played in his nearly fifty years of cinematic career. Beloved by the greatest Italian directors, his international debut is linked in particular to his cynical and disenchanted role in "La dolce vita", directed by Federico Fellini in 1960, with the memorable scene shot at the Trevi Fountain. In addition to his portraits, there are also photographs depicting with several international stars, namely Sophia Loren who co-starred with Mastroianni in 14 films. (Red)
