(25 September 2017) Philosophy at the Italian Insitute of Culture of Berlin on Wednesday September 27th at 19:00 with Roberto Esposito and Ugo Perone organised by the IIC in collaboration with Federico Vercellone. The discussion, held in Italian with simultaneous interpretation, will begin from Esposito’s latest book titled “Da fuori. A philosophy for Europe” which is connected to his previous work titled “Pensiero vivente”. The focus of the discussion is Italian thought in relation to European philosophy. 


THE SPEAKERS

 

Roberto Esposito teaches theoretical philosophy at the Normale School of the University of Pisa. Among his books, all published by Einaudi and translated in different languages, “Due. La macchina della teologia politica e il posto del pensiero” (Two. The theological political machine and the place of thought), and “Le persone e le cose” (People and things). “Communitas and ‘Immunitas” and “Person und menschliches Leben” are the respective German translated titles and edited by Diaphanes. Ugo Perone was Professor of theoretical and moral philosophy at the University of Turin, “Tor Vergata” University of Rome and Piemonte Orientale. He founded and directs SdAFF (the School of High Philosophical Education). Since 2012, he is Guardini Professor at the Humboldt-Universität of Berlin.
