(September 26, 2017) From September 25 to October 1, appointment with Annecy Cinema Italien. Organized by Bonnieu Scène Nationale in Annecy in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture of Lyon and the Consulate General of Italy, in its 2017 edition the festival continues its exploration of Italian cinema and embarks on a new "journey" with the arrival by Francesco Giai Via, new artistic director. The bill - which will take place in different locations - is ambitious with a rich selection of films ranging from author's cinema to popular and genre-type films, to documentaries, fiction and new creative forms. This edition will also be characterized by meetings with artists and homage to the most creative Italian filmmakers of the moment. (Red)

With over 34 years of experience, the Annecy Cinéma Italien festival is now a benchmark for the seventh art in France. The event has seen many celebrities and prestigious filmmakers, including the Taviani brothers, Francesco Rosi, Ornella Muti, Nanni Moretti, Claudia Cardinale, Laura Morante and Sergio Castellitto, not to mention Ettore Scola, who has been honorary president in 1997 .
