University, research, and training: Teramo-Cameroon agreement

(September 26th, 2017) The University of Teramo is increasingly focusing on internationalisation. Last week, a collaboration agreement was signed between the University of Teramo and the Cameroon Evangelical University (UEC) for joint high-level training, research programmes, mobility of staff and students especially in the field of Bioscience with a particular focus on Food Science and Technology. The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Rectorate where the Pro Vice Chancellor, Dino Mastrocola and the delegate for internationalization and joint study programmes, Paola Pittia met with a delegation composed of Martin Sanou Sobze, Vice-Chancellor of UEC and Pierre Sonna, Point Focal of UEC in Italy, led by Vittorio Colizzi, CRUI representative for relations with Cameroonian Universities and representatives of The Circle Society who favoured the meeting between the Cameroonian University and the University of Teramo.


UEC

The UEC (Université Evangelique du Cameroon) was established in 2010. It consists of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Agronomy and Environmental Sciences, Education Sciences, and Theology and Science of Religion. It aims to promote youth development and the education of the ruling class in Cameroon. The focal points of the agreement will be the development of collaboration in joint projects and joint pathways for Cameroonian students, associated with student and faculty exchanges and collaboration in the development of start-ups in the food sector.
