Dance, Motus Company Brings Peace Message with

(September 27, 2017) The image of Vedran Smailovic, who in 1992 played the cello among the ruins of the distroyed Sarajevo National Library, one of the strongest symbols of the cultural richness and the peaceful and multiethnic vocation of the city, went all over the world. Inspired by this image, on September 27, the Italian Company Motus of Siena will offer at the Tuzla National Theater a show, already realized within Vijecnica, which on the 25th anniversary of the tragic events intends to convey a message of peace and reconciliation, "against every form of discrimination and the temptation to build new political, social, linguistic and cultural fences". The work entitled "Dis-Crimine" will be enriched by the performance of cellist Andrea Rellini, author of the music of the show, and is the second event of the Fifth Season of Italian Culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized by the Embassy of Italy with its local partners, starting with the Municipality of Tuzla, with the aim of including all the major centers and cities of the country in the initiatives of their cultural programming.
