Italy – Israel: 2 calls for scientific and industrial collaborations

(September 28th, 2017) 2 calls for scientific and industrial collaborations to increase the existing partnership since 2002 between Italy and Israel based on a cooperation, industrial, science, and technology agreement. “In this way, we participate in the entrepreneurial risk of the winners, reserving the participation in the eventual profits until the return of the initial investment and no further” according to Stefano Boccaletti the Science Attaché at the Italian Embassy to Tel Aviv.

Boccaletti also claims that “Italy and Israel are two strictly complementary systems, and since 2002, have put into place a comprehensive agreement for a funding of 10-12 million per year on a series of articulated project for a 360-degree cooperation”.  Natlie Gutman Chen, Head of the Economic and Trade Mission at the Israeli Embassy to Milan confirms that “we are missing what Italy has in terms of production, industry, and especially the development of long-term business projects, and this is exactly what we can collaborate on”. Fabrizio Nicoletti, director of innovation and research the Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, explained the general guidelines of a partnership “that has lasted many years and improves every year and that can contribute at the scientific level. We invite our companies to take advantage of the tools that we provide them: cultural diplomacy, economic, scientific diplomacy are the pillars of our leadership for promoting the Italian mission. We have 25 Science Attachés abroad, 2 Space Attachés in Brussels and in Washington and one Attaché for Innovation.
