(October 10, 2017) The second edition of "Italy on screen Today" will be held October 19-22 in New York - the Italian cinema festival dedicated to the most successful box office films. The project takes place thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, with the support of the Italian Consulate General in New York, in collaboration with RAI Cinema and the John D. Calandra Institute, Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo of New York University and Stony Brook University under the patronage of the European Parliament and MAECI. Also present at the opening conference (October 18th at the Italian Consulate), Dario Franceschini, Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and Tourism. Guests of honour of this edition are actor and director Sergio Castellitto, and the famous director of photography Vittorio Storaro. Castellitto will receive the "Nino Manfredi Art Excellence Award" for his career. The award, a great novelty in accordance with the Manfredi family, will be a special way of remembering Nino, an undisputed symbol of Italian cinema. (Red)
