(October 11, 2017) On the occasion of the seventh edition of the "Music on the String" festival in Sarajevo, today until Saturday, a series of concerts will be held in honour of the Bosnian composer Avdo Smailovic, for the centenary of his birth. The Italian soprano Paoletta Marrocu, invited by the Italian Embassy in Sarajevo, will perform in the concerts of the fifth edition of the Italian culture season in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Marrocu, who has collaborated with some of the world's most important orchestras, was nominated by Unesco in 1998 as "Artist for Peace". (Red)
