During the 59th edition of the Internationa Mechanicsl Fair in Brno (MSV), the "Italy Area" for Italian industrial companies set up by the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce was inaugurated. The Italian Area is part of the Italian-French joint venture at Pavilion V of the Brno Exhibition Centre. The event, attended by numerous guests and speakers, including Czech Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Vladimír Bärtl, and the Italian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Aldo Amati, French Ambassador Roland Galharague, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gianfranco Pinciroli and President of the Franco-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry Constantin Kinský. "The volume of trade between the Czech Republic and Italy grew exponentially by 22% in three years, reaching 12 billion Euros" stated ambassador Amati. "In January / August this year there was a further 5% growth. If volumes are increasing, we must now prioritise quality, and by that I mean that we want to focus more on the automation industry, on technology, robotics, and on pharmaceuticals" concluded the Italian diplomat.
