The official opening of the third edition of the Italian Music Festival of La Plata will be held on October 25th at 12.00 at the Salon Blanco of the Palazzo Municipale. The event will be attended by the Coordinator of CPTCIA Nicolàs Moretti, Mayor of La Plata Julio Garro, and the Consul General of Italy in La Plata, Iacopo Foti and other municipal and provincial authorities. The Festival, which will be held in the prestigious Teatro Municipal "Coliseo Podestá" on November 25th, aims to highlight Italian music and song and to discover new musical talents in a city that, since its foundation, has been characterised by a strong Italian immigration that is still today part of the social, cultural, and economic life of the city. The Festival was made possible with the supports of the City of La Plata and the Italian Consulate General and with the patronage of numerous important institutions such as the Italian Embassy to Argentina, the Argentine Embassy to Italy and the Dante Alighieri Society of La Plata.
