University & Literature: Hungary awards professor Giampaolo Borghello

Giampaolo Borghello, a professor of Italian Literature and the director of the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Udine, will be awarded the honorary degree in literature from the University of Szeged, one of the oldest and most prestigious of Hungarian universities. The award ceremony, chaired by Rector Gábor Szabó, will be held on Saturday November 11th at 11:00 in the Ceremonial Hall of the University. The honorary degree represents an overall recognition for Borghello's career as a scholar and Professor and for his work in promoting the long and precious twinning between the University of Szeged and Udine. Borghello, a scholar of Boccaccio, Pascoli, Svevo, Montale and Pasolini, will hold a master lecture on an aspect of Collodi's work entitled "Riabilitare Attila?" (Rehabilitating Attila?).
