Serena Spinelli talks about <BR> Florence and Rome's treasures

The cities of Florence and Rome will be the protagonists of the two conferences held by the art historian Serena Spinelli, organised by the Italian Institute of Culture of Toronto taking place today and Friday, November 17 (10-12). Spinelli will analyse the two cities in the point of view of art and will also talk about the cultural and philosophical revolutions that have contributed to making them unique and marvelous. The Florentine masterpieces of the Chapel Brancacci, Santa Maria Novella and Orsanmichele, and various paintings displayed in the Uffizi Gallery will be illustrated in the conference. Rome, however, will be analysed even more closely with a virtual tour beginning with the surreal beauty of Roman frescoes in the Palazzo Massimo collection, with the dolphins and bronze turtles of the Jewish ghetto. Serena Spinelli was trained in the leading academies of France, Ireland, Belgium, Canada, and the United Kingdom. She is considered one of the most important art historians in Europe. (Red)
