(January 29th) The Italian Baroque orchestra Concerto de 'Cavalieri, directed by Marcello Di Lisa, with Maurice Steger playing the recorder, offers a series of Italian eighteenth-century concerts in Munich. As stated on the website of the Italian Institute of Culture, the event will take place on Tuesday, February 20th, at 20:00 at the Herkulessaal. Along with famous pieces by Vivaldi, the programme includes the concerts of Alessandro Scarlatti, the symphonies of Albinoni and rarities such as the "Concerto for flute in A minor" by the Neapolitan composer, Domenico Sarro. It will be a programme that embraces - with one concert - the essence of Italian musical baroque period. (9Colonne)
