(20 febbraio 2018) The Italian Institute of Culture of Munich will host the presentation of the novel "Filoxenìa. Accoglienza tra I Greci della Calabria" by Patrizia Giancotti on Thursday, March 15th at 18:30 in collaboration with Anna Conti Events & artistic agency. Welcome among the Greeks of Calabria " by Patricia Gallego. The event will be accompanied by projections of images.  Filoxenìa is the opposite of xenophobia: it is love foreigners as the ancient Greeks understood it, it is the sacred value of hospitality, which the anthropologist-photographer author of the book has sought and found during her long stay in the Magna Graecia and in Greek Calabria, which she talks about in her photographic book. With a method halfway between journalistic reporting and ethno-anthropological research, the photojournalist presents us with a sort of field diary of special encounters in these remote places a few kilometers from Reggio Calabria.
