ABOUT ZOE'
The movie follows, through the eyes of young Zoè, the unfolding tragedy of a military round-up, during the Second World War. The girl's race through the countryside in search for her father is a dream-like, surreal trip; the viewer follows her as an "Alice far away from Wonderland"', running towards salvation, away from injustice, from desolation, poverty, inaction, solitude, fear and, finally, away from that specter which still walks around men - war. Alongside the child in her travels we meet Luigi (an exceptional role for Francesco Baccini), who will be by her side as she encounters figures of good - such as the prince (writer Andrea J.Pinketts) or the mother who is escaping from war with her four sons (Serena Grandi) - as well as dangerous characters, such as the bandit in the forest (Bebo Storti).
