Sanremo Junior Festival finale: Czech Republic and Slovakia

The curtain has just fallen on the 68th edition of Sanremo and everything is ready for the teen talent conducted by Antonella Clerici after the Festival: Sanremo Young. The programme will be broadcast in prime time on Rai1 for five weeks starting on Friday and will feature 12 singers between the ages of 14 and 17 taking on songs that have made history at the Festival. Meanwhile, very young talents are preparing to perform in Prague, where the announcement of the two winners of the third edition of "Sanremo Junior" for the Czech Republic and the Slovakia is approaching. Sanremo Junior is an international competition for solo singers aged between 6 and 15 years. The thirteen finalists, ten from Czech Republic and three from Slovakia, will compete with the musical accompaniment of the Bon Pops Orchestra in the final evening, Wednesday 21st February at 18:00 at the Hybernia Theatre in Prague. Maurizio Caridi - the president of the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra Foundation - is a guest of the event. During the evening the jury, formed of some of the best known singers and Czech artists, will select two winners who will go to Sanremo to represent their own country at the world finale of the 9th edition of the competition on April 18th at the Ariston Theatre, where young singers of other nationalities will compete. The aim of the event, which enjoys the official patronage of the municipality of Sanremo and of UNICEF, is to disseminate and promote music among the youngest, putting them in contact with professionals in the international music industry. Sanremo Junior CZ / SK 2018 takes place under the patronage of the Italian Institute of Culture in Prague.
