(18 maggio 2018) Director Francesca Molteni travels to Bratislava to present her film "Amare Giò Ponti" (Loving Giò Ponti). In 2015, Molteni created an new project: the first documentary film about the great master of the 20th century, an ambassador of Milan design. The documentary is based on the research of unpublished historical materials, photographic sources of Gio Ponti Archives and Teche Rai, an interview with Gio Ponti in his studio in Via Dezza, testimonies of the heirs and interviews with contemporary figures. A portrait of the man and the architect, aspiring painter, promoter of Italian design who, in more than fifty years of activity, has experimented with everything - arts, crafts, objects, architecture, and materials - with tireless energy, from the small to large scale, from the design of a handle to the creation of an urban plan. A modern teacher who has run the risk of indifference and oblivion. The screening of the documentary film will be on June 1st at 21:00 at the Faculty of Architecture STU in Bratislava. The event was organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Bratislava.
