Exhibitions: La stanza di molly<br>by Chiara Casell

(25 may 2018) "La stanza di Molly" (Molly's Room) is the title of Chiara Caselli's exhibition which was inaugurated on May 18th and will remain open until June 30th at the Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow. A series of works inspired by her 2016 cinematic work: "Molly Bloom" is on view at the IIC. Molly Bloom is the short film based on James Joyce's Ulysses that the Bolognese director, actress and photographer, Chiara Caselli, entered in the 73rd Venice Film Festival (out of competition in the Orizzonti section) and at the "Da Venezia a Mosca" Festival last year. The photographs on show were taken in Molly's room, where Chiara Caselli made the short film. Caselli (Bologna, December 22, 1967) has worked with Michelangelo Antonioni (Al di là delle nuvole), Liliana Cavani (The Game of Ripley and Dove siete? Sono Qui) , and Gus Van Sant (Belli e dannati). In parallel to her film career, she has also developed her work as a photographer, starting to exhibit in 2008 and landing at the Venice Art Biennale (Italian Pavilion) and at the International Photography Festival in Rome in 2011.
