(21 june 2018) It's more than just superheroes. Starting from the story of the terrible Pian d'Albero massacre, in the hills of Figline; Shackleton's journey; weekly comic strips that make people smile and think about daily life - artist and illustrator Pierpaolo Putignano makes use of comics to tell stories about average people's acts of courage, their fear and human contradictions. The works of Putignano land at the Italian Institute of Culture in San Francisco in an exhibition titled "Kaboom! Storie di eroi insoliti raccontate dai fumetti di Putignano". The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday June 29th with the artist and will remain open to the public until July 6th. The exhibition showcases the artist's world made of mocking birds, indomitable explorers, unfortunate partisans, and soldiers who have decided not to be hateful.
