From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
(22 june 2018) The most beloved classics of Italian cinema are back on the big screen, this time the historic Sala Lugones of Buenos Aires in Argentina. The series of film showings - organised by the Italian Institute of Culture and the Fundación Cinemate - starts today ending on Sunday July 1st. The first film on the list is "Brutti, sporchi e cattivi" (Down and Dirty) (1976) by Ettore Scola starring Nino Manfredi, Maria Luisa Santella, and Francesco Anniballi. Tomorrow, Saturday June 23rd, the public will be able to see one of Luchino Visconti's films, "Vaghe stelle dell'Orsa" (Sandra) (1965) starring Claudia Cardinale, Jean Sorel, and Michael Craig. Other films in the programme are: Una giornata particolare (A Special Day) (1977) by Ettore Scola, Vita da cani (A Dog's Life) (1950) by Mario Monicelli and Steno starring Aldo Fabrizi, Gina Lollobrigida, Delia Scala and, Il ferroviere (The Railroad) (1956) by Pietro Germi starring Pietro Germi, Luisa Della Noce, and Sylva Koscina.
