(1 August 2018) The conference titled "La Sonnambula" (Sleepwalker) by Maestro Giuseppe Cuccia will be held on Monday August 20th at 18:30 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Beijing. "La Sonnambula" is a semi-musical opera in two acts by Vincenzo Bellini, with a libretto by Felice Romani. Along with "I Puritani" and "Norma", one of the three masterpieces of the Italian composer. Bellini composed "La Sonnambula" in just two months, while staying at Lake Como. The opera debuted at the Teatro Carcano in Milan on March 6th, 1831 and since has been a great success since its first performance. "La Sonnambula" (Sleepwalker) will be staged at the National Grand Theatre (NCPA) in Beijing, August 28th to September 2nd.
