Serbia, days of Italian<br>Culture in Vršac

(8 agosto 2018) In the framework of the "Cultural Summer of Vršac" event, the Italian Institute of Culture of Belgrade and the Cultural Centre of Vršac organised the "Days of Italian Culture" which began on August 6th and will close on August 10th. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the "Viva Cavandoli" exhibition and a survey of contemporary Italian cinema. "Viva Cavandoli" was organised in collaboration with the Association KomunikArt and MUSIL - Museum of Industry and Labour of Brescia. It represents a tribute to the great designer Osvaldo Cavandoli (1920 - 2007), animator, director and Italian cartoonist, famous above all for creating the character of La Linea. The exhibition - open to the public until August 10th - will be attended by international artists, cartoonists, and historical and contemporary animators who have reinterpreted, through their work, the drawings or Cavandoli himself. The survey of contemporary Italian cinema consists of five films in the programme which will all be screened in Italian with Serbian subtitles. Today "La città ideale" (2012) by Luigi Lo Cascio will be screened followed by tomorrow's screening of "Un ragazzo d'oro" (2014) by Pupi Avati.
