(17 October 2018) "For the fourth consecutive year the Opera na Tela Festival occupies the Brazilian cultural scene with a very interesting programme of events throughout the country" according to the Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Antonio Bernardini.  "Already in recent years, the Festival has had great success in terms of participation and appreciation of the public that bode well for this new and fascinating edition that, thanks to the variety of the programme, promises to entertain fans of the Opera". Once again this year, the Festival (October 27-November 8) "will boast the presence of various opera performers who have been protagonists on famous stages and are valued in the world of Opera. In addition to Rio, more than twenty Brazilian cities will host the screenings selected for this edition in the coming months: 'Filmed Opera' will propose some of the most important representations of opera music in the Italian, German, French, Russian musical panorama. The Italian opera tradition is famous all over the world - underlines Bernardini - and stands out for its importance in the universe of international opera. The works of Giordano, Puccini, Donizetti, but above all Verdi, will be the absolute focus of the Festival ".
