82.5% of Italian e-commerce businesses assert that sustainability constraints are in no way an obstacle to their business. This is reported by a new study prepared by the Packlink comparison platform on the trends of Italian e-commerce regarding sustainability. The pollution produced by industrial processes and commercial activities, including online, has an increasing impact on the environment. For this reason, many Italian e-commerces are showing greater attention to sustainability to limit their environmental impact and improve the company's reputation in the eyes of increasingly demanding consumers. According to the report, 41% of Italian traders say they have changed the packaging of their products in the last 5 years to reduce the carbon footprint. The simplest sustainable options to implement, according to the e-commerce respondents, would be the use of reusable materials (55.6%), the use of sustainable filling materials (25.9%), ecological transport services (14.2%) and the possible offer of greener products in its catalog (4.4%). In addition, 67.6% of Italian e-commerce assesses the importance and sustainability options that a courier should offer in terms of delivery.
