In recent days, the maximum production program of coal-fired power plants has started to deal with the gas crisis. As for coal and fuel oil plants above 300 MW, the names are well known: Fiumesanto, Fusina, San Filippo Del Mela, Sulcis, Torrevaldaliga (Civitavecchia), and Monfalcone. To these are added 12 "relevant" bioliquid plants: Acerra, Biogen Chivasso, Biopower Sardinia, Unigrà Conselice, Dister Cogenerazione, Guarcino, Iges, Sant'Andrea Energia Pulita, Sfir Raffineria of Brindisi, Everfalesia, Powerflor, Termoelectrica Tecnoparco Valbasento. For the latter, conventional fuel feeding will also be allowed, only if it appears that biofuel feeding is not economically sustainable. Maximizing electricity production with fuels other than gas: this is one of the government's priority objectives to overcome the energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine and the cutting of supplies by Russia. Almost all coal-fired power plants that now work at their maximum should have ceased production within a few years. Some were already held under disposal
