The Ferrari SP51 was unveiled as the newest addition to the Special Projects program's One-Off series. This vehicle joins the most exclusive segment of the Ferrari lineup, which consists of one-of-a-kind vehicles that are first designed and then manufactured according to the specifications of a single customer, who thus reaches the peak of the customization possibilities. The SP51, designed by the Ferrari Style Center under the direction of Flavio Manzoni, is a front-engine V12 spider based on the 812 GTS, from which it inherits the 812 GTS's setting, chassis, and engine. Its primary distinction, apparent at first glance, is the absence of a roof, which makes it a roadster in every respect, highlighting its sporty nature and ability to excite both at first glance and during open-air driving. Consequently, a significant amount of aerodynamic refinement was required to ensure not only maximum comfort in the passenger compartment but also a high-quality acoustic level and wind feeling. "Passionate red," a new triple-layer color developed specifically for this vehicle, is one of the elements that will attract the attention of those who approach the SP51.
