A total investment of 3.3 million euros, of which 2 million from NRRP funds, to strengthen cyber security in Rome. The objective is to strengthen and make more secure PA digital transition, reinforcing the infrastructures and the provision of digital services, as well as internal specialist skills, in order to consolidate the degree of security and reduce potential vulnerabilities of the Capitoline IT systems. There are three projects to be financed with PNRR funds, whose implementation must be completed within 24 months from the signing date of the Deeds of Obligation and, in any case, no later than November 30, 2024, also to better address the major events awaiting the city, starting from the Jubilee of 2025. "We aim to intercept new NRRP funds to address and reduce the risks PA digital infrastructures face every day", explained Mayor Roberto Gualtieri. "Roma Capitale - continued the first citizen - must ensure cybersecurity not only of its offices but also of the services provided to millions of citizens through wi fi networks, portals and equipment dozens of municipalities and administrations of the Metropolitan City already benefit, together with hundreds of schools and municipal structures, thousands of video surveillance cameras and many other sensitive hubs engaged in a valuable and constant daily activity. A surety – it has concluded - that must be guaranteed through strong investments in innovation and in a more adequate formation of in-house skills".
