Members of the American Airlines staff at Rome Fiumicino Airport and Aeroporti di Roma celebrated the carrier's awarding of the Customer Cup to the Airport for second-quarter 2022 service excellence. The Customer Cup was presented to the airport workers of the organization for achieving and exceeding set goals. Punctuality in the departure time, ability to reduce the time required to restart a flight, delivery of baggage, and positive comments from passengers on their overall experience at the airport are the criteria that have distinguished the Rome Fiumicino passenger team from those of other American stations of the same category located around the world. During the summer season of 2022, American operated 35 weekly direct flights from Rome Fiumicino Airport to the US hubs of New York (JFK), Dallas – Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL), and Charlotte (CLT), allowing passengers departing from Italy to connect to a variety of destinations in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
