More than 45 billion euros are required to ensure that small and medium-sized Italian businesses can survive the fall and winter months while dealing with increased energy bills. This equates to approximately €7.5 billion per month from October to March, which is the amount of funds required by the 750 thousand small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country, which are experiencing an increase in expenditures due to the increase in the price of gas and electricity, amounting to an average of €10,000 per company. In reality, in the near future there will be a "hole" in the finances of small and medium-sized Italian enterprises totaling 7.5 billion euros every month. The Study Center of Unimpresa has calculated that, on average, the SMEs of our country will incur an increase in energy expenditures of approximately 10,000 euros per month. This figure includes increases ranging from a few hundred euros for very small companies, to tens or even hundreds of thousands of euros for larger businesses. There are around 750,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Italy, which is why the total monthly deficit created by the increase in energy product costs is approximately $7.5 billion. A number to be multiplied for at least the following six months, between October 2022 and March 2023 inclusive, bringing the total to around 45 billion.
