"31 years ago I announced that I had HIV. At the time, there was discrimination against people with HIV. The treatment was inadequate, the medicines were unsuitable but we managed to change many of these things in the fight against HIV. We have provided housing for people living with HIV, we have stopped discrimination and racism and all that this entailed not only in the United States of America, but I think we have had great results throughout the world. I think things are much better today." These are the confidences of Magic Johnson, who was a guest of Fabio Fazio at the talk show "Che tempo che fa" broadcast on Rai3. "After I retired from the game I loved, Commissioner Stern allowed me to play the All Star Game - said the former Lakers star - It was a great satisfaction for me because I showed people that they can still live a reproductive life despite being HIV carriers. I have shown that all those who live with HIV can do great things in society, that they must never give up, never let go and this All Star Game has meant a lot not only to me, but also to people all over the world who live with HIV or other burdens on their shoulders. " Then a hint to Italy: "I have been coming to Italy for 31 years, I love Italians and Italian food. They're so warm, they're wonderful people." (Photo DannyB Photos)
