The first operational Council of Ministers of the Meloni era has approved a decree containing measures against Covid, illegal gatherings, and obstructive prison. Concerning Covid, the Prime Minister immediately shows consistency with what was said in the Chambers about the need for a paradigm shift in the management of health in a pandemic, anticipating by one month the expiry of the vaccination obligation for health personnel, "the only one which was still in force". As a consequence, the so-called "no vax doctors" will be able to return to the ward from today, rather than the end of November. Instead, the requirement for masks in hospitals and RSA will be maintained. In terms of life imprisonment, those convicted of mafia crimes who do not cooperate will be eligible for benefits, but only in the case of compensation to victims and the termination of any relationship with the mafia. The two-month delay in the implementation of the Cartabia reform on criminal justice has been confirmed, with no impact on the NRRP timetable. Finally, for unorganized gatherings, confiscation of used objects is introduced, as well as imprisonment for 3 to 6 years and fines ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 euros.
