The initiative to send into space and maintain a new copy of the Divine Comedy inside a satellite was revealed yesterday, marking the beginning of Dante Alighieri and the Comedy's journey to "see the stars again," forever relegated to the annals of not only Earth's but the universe's collective memory. Guests of the Dante Alighieri Society, the publishing business Scripta Maneant, the Human space services, and the company Nanoracks space outpost Europe unveil the DanteSat, an unparalleled achievement meant to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Dante's death. The release of the DanteSat, which will travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on the SpaceX-26 mission, is made possible by the CubeSat Deployer (NRCSD), a device designed and manufactured by Nanoracks space outpost Europe of Turin. Once in orbit, the satellite will always be detectable from Earth because to the unique surfaces of the Arctic sail, which permit detection with simple telescopes and orbital maneuvers without the usage of propulsion.
