Italy hosts the first international festival of female clowns. It will be held in Turin starting on November 11 and feature all-female performances by more than 25 organizations and performers, some of whom are well-known internationally. Among these, Joanna Bassi from France, a character of excellence in the international panorama of popular and comic theater with a past as a circus artist along with her parents and brother Leo; Hilary Chaplain from New York, one of the most beloved American clowns, an artist and director; Gardi Hutter from Switzerland: theatrical artist and author, but especially a comedian-clown who, from 1981 to today, boasts over 3,800 performances in 35 countries and 5 continents, nine theatrical performances, a circus program, three musicals and 19 awards received Both, Rita Pelusio - a theatrical actor and cabaret artist engaged in theater and television - and Claudia Cantone - a clown and art therapist - will be among those representing Italy.
