On the free gas market, the supply price for variable price offers has reached 2,400 euros per year per household, with an increase of approximately +1,200 euros compared to 2021, while fixed price contracts have now exceeded the cap of 5,000 euros per year per core, with an increase of +3,600 euros compared to 2021. This is stated by the association Consumerismo No Profit, which on the imminent tariff update of gas on the protected market has analyzed the latest offers on the free market. Energy prices, however, do not affect all households in the same way: according to Consumerismo estimates, for a household with an annual income of up to 20 thousand euros, electricity and gas increases have had an impact on budgets of up to 25%, while for a household with an EESI indicator of up to 100 thousand euros, the impact has been less than 5%.
