"We are hoping fervently for peace in these months. The recently agreed accord on the situation in Ethiopia is a glimmer of optimism in this regard. I urge everyone to maintain this commitment to endure peace so that, with God's guidance, the pathways of dialogue may continue to be pursued and the people may soon live in tranquility and dignity. And I also don't want to forget to pray and remind you to pray for the martyred Ukraine, so that the terrible conflict stops." This is what Pope Francis remarked during his message to those present at the prayer gathering with bishops, priests, consecrated people, seminarians, and pastoral workers in Manama, Bahrain's capital. The Pope was greeted upon his arrival in front of the Church of the Sacred Heart by the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Bahrain, three children, and a religious who presented him with a floral tribute.
