Francesco Bagnaia and his Ducati Desmosedici GP22 write a page that will remain in the history of motorcycling: with the ninth place of the Valencia Grand Prix he wins the MotoGP 2022 drivers' world title. And for the first time in the history of the MotoGP, rider and bike of the same nation are on the roof of the world. A magical combination only possible in Italy: the competence and technology of the fastest bike in the world – the Desmosedici GP22 – the passion, talent and determination of Francesco Bagnaia, who won the title after a historic comeback, never before achieved by any other rider in the premier class. After Sachsenring, Bagnaia was in fact 91 points behind Fabio Quartararo, who then challenged him for the final success until yesterday. A history of racing unrepeatable in any other part of the planet and that starts from Borgo Panigale, in the heart of the Emilia-Romagna Motor Valley, with its technology and innovation, moves to Turin, the birthplace of Bagnaia, and reaches Pesaro, where Pecco resides and has lived the consecration as a world-class rider. For Ducati, the only non-Japanese brand capable of winning a MotoGP World Championship, this is the second World Drivers' Title, after the one won by Casey Stoner in 2007.
