The issue of the ecological transition is perceived as a chance to restructure their company in a green direction by Italian enterprises, even though they still encounter barriers along the way, particularly bureaucracy (50%). Companies are paying close attention to the ecological transition: 45% pay a high degree of attention, 41% a good level, and 14% are not paying attention at all. Three out of every four businesses (76%) believe that Italy should be among the champions of the ecological transition since doing so would place the nation in the advanced group of global economies. The Foundation for Sustainable Development and EY presented the survey "Italian enterprises and the ecological transition" yesterday at Ecomondo-Key Energy on the international plenary session of the States General of the green economy. The September study provides an up-to-date picture of how a sample of 1,000 Italian companies (smaller than 10 employees, medium and large, from the main sectors) are dealing with the ecological transition during this period of high energy prices and uncertainty about the economy's future and yields a very significant figure: 62% of organizations perceive additional reasons to embark on an ecological transition route as a strategic opportunity in the present historical time.
