Andrea, Matteo and Virginia Bocelli performed in front of the new royals of England, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, and at the first tribute made by England to Elizabeth II. After being guests last Christmas at the White House, the artists were the only Italians invited to participate in the annual Festival of Remembrance, at the Royal Albert Hall, a central event that commemorates the country's war dead. An appointment even more important this year because it has missed Queen Elizabeth II who, for seventy years, was the head of the Armed Forces. Elizabeth had always taken part in these celebrations becoming, still a princess, the first female member of the Royal Family to serve as a full-time active member of the Armed Forces. The opening of the festival thus paid tribute to the late Queen and her 70 extraordinary years of service and dedication. Andrea Bocelli with Matteo and Virginia, greeted by a warm applause, sang "The Greatest Gift", an unreleased song extracted from their new album "A family Christmas", in front of all the English royals: in addition to Charles and Camilla, William and Kate, Prince and Princess of Wales, the Count and Countess of Wessex, Anna and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and the Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy were present.
