Half of Italians (50.7%) agrees that the Meloni government's recent decision to restrict the disembarkation of some of the refugees who came aboard NGO ships was correct. Among these, 30.5% feel that any landing should be absolutely prohibited, and that any refugee petitions should be processed outside of Italy. 28.6% believe the prohibition is unconstitutional, stating that "we should disembark everyone and then remove those who do not have the right to refuge." Another 18.7% believe the restriction is cruel and that all people should be accepted without discrimination or refoulement. This is the result of a weekly poll conducted by Termometro Politico between November 8 and 10.
