The current blockage of the Superbonus system risks causing a cash crisis for tens of thousands of Italian enterprises and, as a result, shutting down a large portion of construction sites. Companies may cope with the severe liquidity crisis by turning to illegal forms of money supply provided by criminal organizations: a scenario of rampant usury risk is thus emerging, which is especially widespread and accentuated in smaller regions, those of the South, and economically weaker territories. An investigation by the Unimpresa Study Center emphasizes this. The issue is on the tax capacity of the banks and Poste Italiane, the primary subjects participating in the Superbonus machine for the sale of credits made available by the State to stimulate the recovery of the building and construction industry. According to the data, 307,191 operations have been initiated using the 110% Superbonus mechanism for a total value of 51 billion euros, 38 billion of which involve completed works and building sites. The exceptionally advantageous system of credit sale implemented with the building Superbonus has had a substantial influence on the expansion of the Italian gross domestic product: in the previous two years, the construction industry has contributed almost 30% of GDP growth.
