In honor of Ferrari's 75th anniversary, the Automotoclub Storico Italiano is giving the Maranello company a real star as a tribute at Milano AutoClassica, an international show that will be held at the Fiera di Milano Rho from Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20. In fact, the Ferrari 275 GTB that movie producer Dino De Laurentiis purchased for Hollywood star Clint Eastwood in 1966 is the center of attention. The 275 GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta) was first shown at the Paris Motor Show in 1964. It was based on the famous 250 GTO, which was made for racing. It was designed by Pininfarina, and cars with this style were made until 1968. Dino De Laurentiis bought the model in 1966. It used to belong to Clint Eastwood. It was originally called "Night Gray," but as soon as the actor got it to the U.S., he had it changed by George Barris, the most popular "customizer" of Hollywood stars. Clint Eastwood's sports car, which was the uncontested king of the "Spaghetti Western" at the time, was repainted in the present dark green and further ornamented. He stayed in the United States until the early 1980s, when he went back to the Old Continent and found a place in the Automobile Museum in Muriaux, Switzerland. In the 1990s, he took another trip through South America. He then went back to Europe and ended up in Italy, where he still lives.
