Umbria is the only region in Italy that Lonely Planet, the leading international publishing house for the tourism industry, has listed as a place to visit in 2023. The official announcement came yesterday morning in Milan, during the presentation of "Best in Travel 2023," a book that lists the places you can't miss in 2023 and was put together with input from staff, authors, bloggers, and other publishers. So, Italy is on the podium with Umbria, the only destination mentioned in the "Flavors" category, as "a territory able to attract for its varied food and wine offer, even more next year, when there will be a series of events to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Perugino's death and the 50th anniversary of Umbria Jazz." Umbria Jazz is a music festival that has been going on since 1973 and has made the italian region well-known in the world
