With the interventions that the government intends to carry out with the budgetary maneuver for 2023, the fiscal pressure will remain at sustained levels, standing at 43.8% of gross domestic product at the end of this year; it should then fall by 0.4 points of GDP per year and reach 42.5% of GDP only in 2025, a level that is still too high. Therefore, according to forecasts, the weight of taxes compared to GDP will be 43.2% in 2023 and 42.8% in 2024. This is what emerges from an analysis of the draft budget law under study by the government made by UNIMPRESA Research Centre. It is noted that the maneuver will exceed 32 billion euros and that part of the funds will come from further indebtedness.
