Sister Cristina Scuccia had become a well-known face after the victory of the 2013 edition of The Voice of Italy talent show; now, however, Cristina has decided to change her life, saying goodbye to the veil and starting a new life, in which music will always play a central role. Yesterday, the now former religious was interviewed on Channel 5 during the popular television program "Verissimo": she told of her choice of taking the vows at 34, of the 15 years of religious life, and with an open heart she revealed that the pandemic had a decisive role in her choice: "Covid was the moment when I stopped and looked in the mirror. The fear of disappointment left me trapped; it was a fear that I had towards the sisters, my mother, and my parents. It was not easy: I did not only deal with the congregation and my family, but also with the whole world". Cristina then told of her new life: "I changed the dress but not the essence. I live in Spain and I'm a waitress. I live with a smile. As for love, after Jesus I always believe in it”.
