A fake Ferrari? It is feasible. Yesterday, the financiers of Asti seized a constructed replica Ferrari F430. A 26-year-old driver from Asti was stopped for inspection. The vehicle was determined to be a Toyota MR Coupè, modified in the bodywork and external accessories to make it appear identical to a Ferrari F430: badges, logos, and original mechanical elements of the manufacturer, such as wheels. In actuality, the brake calipers, front and rear hood, wheel arches, and steering wheel have all been changed with components that appear identical to those of the well-known Pininfarina-designed sports model made by the Prancing Horse between 2004 and 2009. Experts who intervened during the car's stop validated the counterfeit as well. The vehicle was seized, and the owner was reported to the Asti Public Prosecutor's Office for unauthorized use of registered trademarks.
