There are 37.5% of those who think you should be able to retire at 60 or 62 regardless of your contributions, and 29.4% who think policies like quota 100 and quota 102, which combine age and contribution requirements, should be in place indefinitely. These findings are based on a weekly poll conducted by Termometro Politico between November 22nd and 24th, 2022. Opposition to the law's modification - known as Fornero, after the minister who introduced it - is 27.4%: 13.3% feel that it is now impossible to modify due to economic restrictions, "but when the accounts allow it is acceptable to periodically launch temporary measures to anticipate retirements for a year," while 14.1% is completely opposed because "we can't afford to spend more on pensions".
