Yesterday morning, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella received at the Quirinale Giuseppe De Rita (President of the Center for Social Investment Studies) with Giorgio De Rita (Secretary General of the CENSIS Foundation), and the Director General Massimiliano Valerii. The 56th Report on the Social Situation of the country was presented to the President, and it shows that Italians believe in a green future. Looking ahead to 2050, 71% of Italians (compared to an EU average of 48%) are convinced that sustainable energy, products and services will be available at affordable prices for all, including the less well-off. For 68% of Italians (more than the European average of 57%), policies to tackle climate change and promote environmental sustainability will create more new jobs. For 71% of people (61% in the EU average) there will be new quality jobs in terms of wages and workplace safety.
