The Ministry of Economy and Finance has made 33.68 million euros available for the prevention of the phenomenon of usury with which state guarantees are granted: through the intervention of associations and foundations, the access to credit is facilitated for businesses and citizens at risk of usury. "With new resources, an instrument that concretely supports the real needs of families and entrepreneurs in economic difficulty is reinforced, considering the increase in inflation and the costs of raw materials", says the Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, who adds: "Citizens and businesses will in fact be able to rely on state guarantees to obtain the liquidity necessary to face increasing expenses and thus avoid falling into the trap of usury and illegality". As every year, the Fund is financed with the proceeds of administrative sanctions for violations of anti-money laundering and currency legislation.
