The Promoting Committee of Rome Expo 2030 participated yesterday morning, for the third time, in the assembly of the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions) in Paris. The meeting was dedicated to explaining the theme chosen by the various candidates. To support the Roman candidacy and explain the reasons, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani. The candidacy dossier, a 618-page document that outlines in detail the impact of Expo Roma on the Country System, was formally handed to the BIE on September 7 by a team headed by the president of the organizing committee, Ambassador Giampiero Massolo, and the mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri. Rebecca Bianchi, Étoile of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, opened yesterday's Italian address in the presence of the BIE delegates and the other three delegations in the race (Busan, Riyadh, Odessa), who underlined Rome's position as the Capital of all cultures and all kinds of art, including dance. Then the touching video detailing Rome's Expo 2030 proposal was shown. The video's soundtrack is Ennio Morricone's music from "Once Upon a Time in the West." Gaia (Elisa Pasquini), the spot's very young protagonist, is also there in the room, representing the whole generation that will reach adulthood in 2030. Director of BID FILE Matteo Gatto used a video clip including an early visualization of the project's overall concept from the office of architect Carlo Ratti to explain the topic.Roberto Gualtieri, the mayor of Rome, ended the meeting.
