On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebrated last December 3 and this year dedicated to the theme of "Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies for all", the Government reiterates “all its commitment to affirm the full right of all people to have an autonomous, independent life and to be valued according to their talents and different skills”. In a message, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni assures: "We will face with great concreteness the problems that people with disabilities live every day, together with their families, territorial administrations, associations, public and private operators, and the Third Sector". The Prime Minister then goes on to state that "It is our task to ensure the full implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, with particular attention to the centrality of the person through the life project. The government has immediately committed itself to supporting the most fragile people. In fact, among the main measures of the budget law is funding to make a structural increase in the single allowance for children with disabilities. This is a first step which will be followed by many others, on a path that must see all the institutions united in the same direction".
